I had the fantastic opportunity to model and animate Sonic for Sega as a celebration of Windle and Sega collaborating together!
As a lifelong Sonic fan, this was immensely exciting for me and I studied Sonic extensively to make sure I did him justice. A representative at Sega said he was extremely impressed with my work, especially since I did it without any assets from Sega to work from. I had so much fun working on this and getting to develop my rigging and animation skills in particular!
I am responsible for all aspects of this project. Sculpted in ZBrush, retopologised in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and rendered in Maya Arnold.
