I was inspired by the myth of the Aztec jaguar god Tezcatlipoca for this creature study, and created it to expand the 3D portfolio at Windle Creative. I always love working on realistic animal portraits, and this was a fantastic opportunity to learn how to implement realtime XGen grooms in Unreal Engine 5.
I am responsible for all aspects of this project except foliage models. Sculpted in ZBrush, retopologised in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, groom created using Maya XGen and everything put together in Unreal Engine 5.
