I created Declan to expand our 3D portfolio at Windle Creative, and had a blast doing it! It was so much fun to really push the proportions and inject as much manic energy as I could into this chompy, chubby guy! I have included two WIP shots - a screengrab of the sculpt and the sketch I drew up to base him on. I was particularly inspired by the dinosaurs in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, designed by Nicola Saviori.

I am responsible for all character aspects of this project. Sculpted in ZBrush, retopologised in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and everything put together in Unreal Engine 5.
